2015 Holiday Airlift Takes 1,000 Pets Home for the Holidays

2015 Holiday Airlift Takes 1,000 Pets Home for the Holidays

Join Wings of Rescue on Friday, November 20th for our 2015 Annual Holiday Airlift at the Van Nuys Airport. This year’s event is going to break records. We are sending over 1,000 dogs and cats to new homes around the country via 20 airplanes. This is the largest airlift that we have initiated to date and the largest one on record anywhere. Not only is this event going to make a tangible impact for the over 3 million animals that are euthanized each year in the shelter system, but we are giving these special animals the gift of loving homes and families just in time for the holidays.

Please join us that day as volunteers, spectators, pilots, or rescue partners – our Wings of Rescue Flight Crew – to make a big difference this holiday. If you would like to participate in this event, please contact us at erin@wingsofrescue.org or call 516-567-5205.

Because we are doubling the number flown from last year, we are also looking for corporate and individual sponsors for this large-scale production. Please download the sponsorship document which describes the many media and marketing benefits associated with this event. This event will also be filmed as part of an hour-long show on Fox Television featuring well known animal loving celebrities and will be aired during a prime-time spot on Thanksgiving Day.

Please make a donation over $25 and sponsor a pet going on one of the flights that day. Add your name in the comments section and that you want to sponsor a pet for the holiday airlift and we will put a sticker with your name on a crate the day of the airlift and send you your honorary “wings” as a token of our appreciation.

Thank you to everyone who came out last year and made this event a HUGE success and to those who want to be a part this year’s record-breaking flight, and we look forward to saving 1,000 pets with you on the 20th. If this doesn’t make the holidays warm and fuzzy… and furry, we don’t know what will.

Up, up and away,

The Wings of Rescue family
