Saving Memphis Belles and Beaus!!! UPDATE!!!

Saving Memphis Belles and Beaus!!! UPDATE!!!

On January 18th, 2017 Wings of Rescue completed our first rescue mission from Memphis, Tennessee!  90 dogs and 20 cats were flown from several over crowded shelters that were busting at the seams with loving, highly adoptable pets and flown to our amazing rescue partners in Idaho and Washington.  We are pleased to announce that every single one of these lucky dogs and cats were adopted into loving homes within one week of their arrival and 95% of them were adopted within 2 days!  Many of the pets needed to have a “lottery” since there were more than several adopters interested.  RELOCATION WORKS!!!  These pets had ZERO chance of finding homes in their home states due to the existing pet overpopulation problem.  Wings of Rescue has also reached out to our network of rescue partners to provide more spay/neuter services in these areas.  Aggressive and persistent spay/neuter programs are the true answer to controlling our unwanted pet population. Isn’t it more humane to prevent unwanted litters through spay and neuter than using euthanasia to control the pet over population problem?

Wings of Rescue is working on our next rescue transport scheduled for February 14th out of Memphis.  Approximately 400 dogs and cats will be flown once again to our receiving rescues in the Pacific Northwest.   We will be live streaming via Facebook early Valentine’s Day morning showing you the faces of pets your donations are helping to save.  We will also be posting adoption photos – happy faces of adopted dogs and cats with their new families.

Donations are needed to pay for these life saving flights – no donation is too small.

Today, your Wings of Rescue team was in Nesbit, Mississippi and West Memphis, Arkansas preparing 100 dogs and cats for our first rescue flight from Memphis, Tennessee! These two shelters are plagued by having irresponsible breeders and not enough adopters. They have reached out to us to fly these pets to safety. Our first flight will be on January 18th to several of our amazing receiving rescue partners in Washington!

Please help us save these precious pets to new homes. If everyone who sees this post donates $5 we can save nearly every pet in these high intake shelters! Please join us by donating at www.wingsofrescue.org/donate
